CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

We offer a full program of yoga, meditation, healing arts and spiritual exploration through music and movement. Our community of teachers embraces the Kripalu approach to Hatha yoga, emphasizing meditation and breathing techniques and encouraging inward focus and mindfulness. All offered in a caring, supportive, non-judgmental setting to inspire relaxation, strengthening, healing and spiritual awakening. All classes end with savasana, full body relaxation.

Class styles are offered from beginner to experienced, gentle to more challenging, and encourage being present in the moment, letting go of judgment and embracing the journey of a pose not the destination. A variety of supportive props are provided, and students are encouraged to modify the poses to “own their practice”.

All Levels

A guided sequence of postures with focus on alignment, sensations, mind and breathe. Students are invited to modify the poses according to their needs, and ability. Appropriate for all levels, and beginners are welcome.

Gentle and Beginner

A very nurturing practice, which encourages mindfulness and promotes flexibility and relaxation. Classes include setting intentions, guided breathing and meditation and gentle pose sequences. Suitable for beginners, students new to the Center and those with physical limitations or recovering from injury.

Moderate and Intermediate

This class is appropriate for more experienced practitioners who desire more of a challenge. Students are guided through more advanced postures, and invited to hold poses longer and explore personal variations.
